This picture was taken in the middle of the day but thanks to spot metering her face is properly exposed.

This shot was taken in the middle of the day in the shade. I think I have serious eyelash envy.

This shot was taken during the "sweet" hours before sunset. Even though she's not smiling I love her innocent expression...and the fact that she was covered in dirt and looks like a homeless child.

Even during the mid morning you can get beautiful rays of sunlight that make your subject glow. I just found a nice shady spot and having beautiful subjects like these sisters helps.

Both these photos were shot around 11:00am.

If you have to shoot in the middle of the day find some shade. We found a huge beautiful tree to shoot under and I adjusted my White Balance to shade. I love this picture of my parents. It will probably be one of my favorites forever.

Last of all, my little cutie patooties. Even though they don't have huge smiles on their faces there is just something captivating about this picture.

I love this comparison of the light at different times of day. Your exposures are great! That eyelash photo—WOW! So lovely.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to be able to capture such beautiful memories isn't it. Love the eyelash photo, gorgeous big eyes and I love her expression.
